Colin faces constant battle navigating access to shops

Being able to move freely when doing the weekly shopping is a given for most people.
For some, like Jindivick's Colin Pedersen, it's anything but.
Colin has used a wheelchair for more than a decade after surviving a battle with meningoencephalitis, and now lives with a full time carer in Violet Surley. He says going about life in Warragul's central business district has become a painful experience, largely due to the lack of accessibility in many stores.
Chief among those issues is steps. Anytime a business has a large step at their front door without a ramp, Colin is unable to even enter.


"Not being able to get places is depressing," Colin said.
