Projects at Tonimbuk, Bunyip, Cora Lynn, Lang Lang and Catani are among 27 successful applications for Cardinia Shire community capital works grants.
In total the grants across the shire exceed $483,000.
Bunyip will receive three grants.
The hall committee will receive two of them - for split system air conditioning and solar energy - and the Bunyip showgrounds and reserve will receive funding for a solar water pump.
At Cora Lynn grants have been approved for new roofing on the canteen at the recreation reserve and an electronic scoreboard for the football club.
Tonimbuk Hall will get window replacements and upgraded drainage will be provided for the second oval at Catani recreation reserve.
A replacement roof on the sports pavilion for the Lang Lang pastoral, agricultural and horticultural society will also be funded.
Mayor Jeff Springfield said the 27 projects will improve and enhance already valued community assets and provide more accessible, sustainable and suitable facilities for the community.
He made special mention of the tireless efforts of volunteers that work on the projects year in, year out.
