Cardinia Shire has renewed the contract for management and operation of its major recreation facilities.
Richmond headquartered Aligned Leisure, that has had the contract for the past nine years, has been reappointed for another four years with options to extend it to 10 years.
The contract applies to outdoor swimming pools at Garfield, Koo wee rup, Pakenham and Emerald, Cardinia Life, Pakenham regional tennis centre and Officer community hub.
Mayor Jack Kowarzik said a comprehensive tender and evaluation process was undertaken including a review of the current management policy and specifications.
He said Aligned Leisure was committed to providing benefits to the community and council's strategic objectives.
Cr Kowarzik said council was committed to increasing participation in sport and active recreation and providing facilities that achieve the best outcomes for the community.
