Can-do attitude to recycling

As the Victorian Government's Container Deposit Scheme reaches its three-month anniversary next week, local depots have claimed it as a roaring success.
New figures from the State Government have revealed the scheme has seen the return of more than 100 million containers, allowing citizens to pocket over $10 million in refunds as a result.
With around 400 refund points around the state, the scheme collected 15.8 million containers in the week leading up to Christmas, and 17.1 in the week following the new year.
