Best year ever for Warragul Lions

Warragul Lions Club's outgoing president Russell Elliott has described the past year as the club's most successful ever.
In his review of the year at the annual changeover dinner Mr Elliott said the club had distributed more than $100,000 to community organisations and charities with major beneficiaries being the West Gippsland Hospital and Australian Lions clubs projects.
He highlighted fundraising efforts including firewood sales, Lions mints, annual book fair and catering and also commended the junior public speaking competition the club ran.
