Abbey Gardens residential aged care community held an art show last week.
Residents displayed art, both new and old, some pieces they had created and others were works of art from relatives.
Amongst those displaying works from relatives was resident Lil Cremin, who provided a tapestry created by her grandmother. The piece is more than 100 years old a depicts a bird and some flowers. The tapestry was slipped into Ms Cremin's suitcase when she was a young girl travelling from Ireland to Australia.
Another display featured works of knitting and crochet by Nance Black, along with a collection of short stories she hopes to publish.
Ms Black's work was exquisitely detailed, and something she had been working on for a long time.
Shirley Stone had one of the largest collections at the art show. Her works included an array of carefully decorated duck and ostrich eggs, as well as lace draping and needlework.
Ms Stone spent many years perfecting her crafts, and many featured tiny, intricate details.
Other items on display included a handmade wedding dress, quilts and paintings.
