Artwork to recognise the long link between Lang Lang and its annual rodeo is being considered by Cardinia Shire council.
The rodeo and Easter Monday have gone hand in hand since 1944.
An earlier 2020 proposal to install a horse sculpture at the town's Dick Jones Reserve received positive community feedback but was setback by COVID-19.
Council now wants to revisit the possibility.
Mayor Tammy Radford said the work would nurture a sense of community and shared history and encourage visitors to stop at Lang Lang.
Cr Radford is encouraging members of the public to provide feedback to council by September 4 at www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay or by email to mail@cardinia.vic.gov.au
