Drouin Lions Club's newest member Debra Thomas has hit the ground running after her recent induction.
Although working full time Ms Thomas has quickly swung into the club's community work at Drouin Secondary College's breakfast program, barbeques and raffle ticket selling after being inducted by vice district governor Roger Lurz.
Her efforts highlighted a message delivered to the meeting from International President Fabricio Oliviera from Brazil and district governor Ian Davey of Mount Eliza for each club to aim to get a new member every year and "always serve with a smile".
Drouin president Glynn Goss formally welcomed Ms Thomas to the club and said he knew she would enjoy it.
People that might consider becoming a Lion can contact Mr Goss on 0408224713 or email secretary at secretary@drouinlions.org.au and keep up to date with the club's activities through its Facebook page.
