Ambulance responses to code one calls that require urgent paramedic and hospital care have continued to fall well before their target throughout Gippsland.
Member for Eastern Victoria Melina Bath, welcoming a decision by state parliament's Legislative Council to have an inquiry into the state's ambulance service, said responses in Gippsland municipalities and neighbouring Cardinia Shire to Code 1 calls in June varied from 45 to 75 per cent within 15 minutes, compared to a target of 85 per cent.
All were lower than six years earlier.
