An alarm scared off an offender after he forced entry to the Robin Hood Hotel just before 1am on Thursday morning.
Police said security footage showed a man walking to the cool room area where cash drawers used to be located.
As the alarm system triggered, police said the offender walked out the back door.
The man was reportedly wearing a black hoodie, light coloured pants, tan work boots as well as a face mask and gloves.
It is the second time this month the Drouin West hotel has been burgled.
