Warragul man Alan Woollard marked 10 years of treatment at West Gippsland Hospital's haemodialysis unit recently.
A former civil engineer Mr Woollard, 81, suffers from kidney failure and has been undergoing dialysis three days a week, every week, for the past decade.
Over time he has developed a bond with hospital staff and other dialysis patients, many of whom also have been attending the unit for many years.
