The streets of Warragul were again transformed into a winter wonderland with the return of Snowfest Gippsland on Friday night.
An estimated 15,000 people rugged up to attend the event in its fifth year.
"It was a huge success," said Warragul Business Group Snowfest committee member Karin Jones.
"We're very happy with the turn out."
This year's event had expanded in size from previous years, with double the rides, more free activities and more local cafes and shops staying open late.
"We saw much more involvement from local traders," Ms Jones said.
"Cafes and other shops stayed open to engage with and embrace the event."
It wasn't only Warragul locals venturing out into the cold. Crowds of people and families poured into the snow playground from surrounding areas.
"This was our first year capturing postcode data from people who bought passes," Ms Jones said.
"I'd estimate that around 60 per cent of people came from outside of the Baw Baw Shire region."
Highlights of this year's event included plenty of new shows and rides, including fire twirling displays and motorbike stunts from Tim Coleman and the TC Trickz team.
Fan favourites from previous years also returned, including meet and greets with Elsa from the Frozen franchise and the dunking of local celebreties in the ice dunk tank.
"The variety of new kids rides was a real hit," Ms Jones said.
Warragul Business Group Snowfest Committee said they're hoping Snowfest can continue the growth they have seen over the past five years.
"We welcome the opportunity to speak with council about engaging with Visit Victoria, to make Snowfest an annual regional event," Ms Jones said.
