Students at Neerim District Rural Primary School in Nayook had a brilliant start to their week with snow falling on Monday morning.
Teacher Sarah O’Brien said it snowed for 25 minutes, with a great covering for the children to play in.
Light snow also fell at Neerim Junction and on the Strzelecki Ranges but was gone by midday.
