January 19th 1934 - March 12th 2021
Four years have passed
But still I weep
When waking from my troubled sleep.
They say that time will ease the pain,
With the dawn it starts again.
The emptiness deep down inside,
The loneliness you cannot hide.
Then I read the lines you wrote
And if I may, of these I'll quote:
Dear Bill, Looking forward to another year together. Love, Elaine.
All at once my soul uplifted
From the dark place I have drifted.
I realised a love so strong would stay with me my whole life long.
And when again, by the Good Lord's grace,
I will see your smiling face.
Eternity will have to wait
Whilst we embrace at Heaven's Gate.
Goodnight Sweetheart,
-Your loving husband Bill.
2 families now one.
