Police are calling for community assistance to help identify a possible firebug in the area.
Three roadside grass fires lit in less than 24 hours last week were part of a continuing trend in the Buln Buln East area.
Warragul Police senior sergeant Peter Watson said there had been several suspicious fires, under similar circumstances, in the Buln Buln East area over the past month.
The first incident was a small grass and tree fire reported at 12.55pm on a track about 350 metres north of Mizpah Settlement Rd on Thursday.
A small 15 metre area was burnt before CFA members extinguished the fire.
Two similar fires were reported by passers-by in the early hours of Friday morning.
The first occurred at 1.40am at the intersection of Old Telegraph Rd East and Gunn Rd. The fire burnt a small grass area on the roadside.
Another fire was reported at 5.35am on Friday in Ingleman Rd, about 500 metres from the intersection of McDougal Rd.
Sen sgt Watson said logs on the side of the road were on fire and the fire spread about 50 metres in two directions. He said it appeared there were two ignition points.
The CFA attended and extinguished the fire.
Sen sgt Watson said police were calling on community members to be aware of suspicious activity in the area and report fires quickly to police.
He said in all cases, no accelerant had been found.
