First aid skills kick in to save dad

Hearing unusual yelling from the garden shed, Fletcher Van Kaathoven went to investigate and quickly leapt into action to save his dad's life.
Showing bravery beyond his 11 years, Fletcher methodically carried out first aid training learnt at local scout meetings to help his dad during a frightening seizure at their Warragul home.
His actions, together with calls for help by nine-year-old sister Mavis, saw the pair named St John Ambulance's 2024 first aid champions at a recent ceremony.
But, more importantly, ensured the family were together on Sunday to celebrate Father's Day.
