Students walk against family violence
1 min read

A group of Trafalgar High School students and staff recently participated in the Walk Against Family Violence in Melbourne.
The team of year seven, eight and nine students represented the school community to join 5000 Victorians who gathered and walked from Parliament House in Spring St to the Carlton gardens, calling for a future where everyone can feel safe, equal and respected.
The walk, held on November 24, marked the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign calling for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
Principal Brett Pedlow thanked the students and staff who joined in the walk in solidarity with victim survivors and to take action to prevent family violence and violence against women.
"At Trafalgar High School we have a full curriculum of respectful relationships from year seven to VCE and to see our young people take these messages beyond the classroom to the wider community is fantastic to see," he said.
