Students at Warragul and District Specialist School have been hard at work in the community recently helping people to take care of their gardens.
Working under the guidance of Mount Worth Landcare Group leader Rob East, the school's landcare group has been tending gardens for the elderly, clearing paths for State Parks Victoria and doing all sorts of jobs to keep the area looking beautiful.
The group's activities are part of the school's transition pathway for senior students to get a taste of what work in the community is like, better preparing them for when they begin their careers.
"We help everyone far and wide," teacher Allison Duggan said.
"The students get a lot out of it. They explore areas of the community they've never seen before. They like the satisfaction of a job well done."
