Mission to make a difference

An afternoon of fun at a Warragul school recently raised more than $2100 for underprivileged people in Mongolia.

St Joseph's Primary School held its annual "Mission Market", with grade five and six students displaying great creativity to plan stalls and competitions.
As a carnival atmosphere took hold, younger students enjoyed visiting the various stall offerings and making donations.
The school reported the event raised more than $2100 for Catholic Mission's 2024 appeal for Mongolia.
The idea behind Mission Market is to show students that they can take small steps to alleviate the suffering of others.
Senior students spent several weeks planning and creating their stalls and competitions, with parents and families donating materials and prizes.
