After three years of fundraising through raffles, bake sales, markets and pie drives the Ellinbank Primary School community officially opened stage one of its new accessible sensory adventure playground.
The adventure play space has been designed to complement the school's natural bushland environment while providing plenty of space for creative play to take place.
School officials said they were particularly proud that everything in the new play area was built from either recycled materials or had been repurposed from school and local businesses.
The area used to be overgrown and hard to maintain but it is now an oasis filled with chatter, games and activities designed and created by the students.
The students are very excited to have their own bike track on which they can ride the school bikes during the day.
