Drouin West Primary School students tasted different Japanese foods on Tuesday as part of their studies.
Wakako Ishikawa (Nikki Sensei) led a cooking class, with students trying rices, Japanese plums and ginger along with Chai green tea.
Students have spent an hour per week during the past six months learning the Japanese language and symbols.
Wakako Ishikawa has worked in a number of schools in West Gippsland this year, including Marist Sion, Drouin Primary School, Drouin South, Longwarry Primary School, and Drouin West Primary.
