Passed away peacefully at the West Gippsland Hospital, Warragul on March 1st 2025.
Aged 90 years.
Dearly loved daughter of Alan and Jean York (both dec.).
Loving sister and sister-in-law of Don and Barbara (dec.), Ian and Margaret, Alan and Pam (dec.) and Val, Lynette and David Buntine.
Treasured aunt of 14 nieces and nephews, and great and great-great aunt to many. 
She was the hub of our family.
Devoted and dear friend of Jill Dixon for over 50 years.
A very cherished lady who gave so much to so many.
May God hold her in the palm of His hand.

Valerie's gifts in hospitality and caring drew our extended family together across the generations.  
She will always be treasured and missed.
