Darnum Primary School students showcased their literacy talents when they hosted their annual writer’s cafe recently.
A showcase event on the school’s calendar, students invite parents, grandparents, other relatives and friends to school to show off the writing they had been working on throughout the year.
School principal Christopher Eeles said guests were served a traditional Devonshire tea before sitting down and reading through students’ work.
“They are then able to move to other rooms to share other students’ stories,” he said.
