Special awards were presented to surprised staff at Buln Buln Primary School to mark World Teachers’ Day.
The parents club presented the trophies at a recent assembly and stated it was a way to say thank you to all teachers, assistants and aides for their efforts.
Each received special acknowledgement along a “100 days” theme.
In addition, all students joined together to sing “Gold” for the first time collectively at the assembly.
The song was part of the school’s participation in the “Music Count Us In” initiative which supports teachers to deliver music in the classroom.
Students practised singing “Gold” in preparation, including special movements, prior to the assembly.
The initiative saw more than half a million people across Australia unite to perform “Gold” at the same time.
