Yarragon art sale

The Creative Yarragon Art Group is holding an "Off the Easel" art sale at the Yarragon Public Hall over the Melbourne Cup long weekend.
The art sale will feature works in different mediums created by members of the Creative Yarragon Art Group, including watercolour paintings, calendars, cards and tea towels.
Joan Allen from Creative Yarragon Art Group said the art sale was a great opportunity for people to purchase Christmas gifts.
"You can get a real bargain," Joan said. "Everything on sale has been designed by members of the group, from the beginners to the professionals."
As well as a place to purchase local creations, the "Off the Easel" art sale creates an opportunity for people to engage with members of the art group.
"People can come and ask questions about the artwork and about joining in the art group," Joan said.
The Creative Yarragon Art Group meet weekly on Thursdays, between 9:30am and 2pm in the supper room of the Yarragon Public Hall. The group run classes for people of all skill levels and promotes a social environment in which people can pick up skills and ideas from others.
"It's become a real community, spanning from Longwarry to Traralgon," Joan said.
The Creative Yarragon Art Group "Off the Easel" art sale will be held in the supper room of the Yarragon Public Hall on November 4 and 5. The sale will be open from 10am to 4pm on both days.
