Wrapping up 40th year with Christmas joy
1 min read

Wrapping up a busy year of 40th anniversary celebrations, West Gippsland Chorale members, musical director Nathan Byrne and accompanist Chris Sim are excited to present their annual Christmas concert series at Wesley of Warragul on December 13 and 15.
This year saw the Chorale participate in a number of special performances, including a special 40th anniversary concert at Wesley of Warragul in April, featuring stories and songs from 40 years of making music.

In August, the Chorale collaborated with the Heidelberg Choral Society and conductor Peter Bandy to present the unforgettable Brahms requiem and a work from English Australian composer, George Loughlin.
On December 6, Chorale members will join with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra chorus to present Handel's Messiah at the West Gippsland Arts Centre.
The Christmas concert series will provide the opportunity for attendees to relax and enjoy some cheerful music during the busy time of year. New audience members are encouraged to join.
This year's concerts will feature solo and duet items from within the ranks of the talented Chorale singers, some small ensemble work such as Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols, and also instrumentals work from musicians within the choir. Different arrangements of fan favourite carols will also be presented.
The West Gippsland Chorale Christmas concerts will be held at Wesley of Warragul on Friday December 13 from 8pm and on Sunday December 15 at 2pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, in-store at Need2Read in Warragul or online at https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1319404
