“Transformation” at Red Tree Gallery
1 min read

A new exhibition of work created by local artist Jessie McLennan is currently on display at the Red Tree Gallery in Jindivick.
Named "Transformation", the exhibition of paintings explores letting go of attachments through fire, depicting the concept of fire as a cathartic release.
Throughout the exhibition, the fire evolves from representing destruction to embodying life.
The Hindu Goddess Kali was an inspiration for the exhibition through the symbolising and aiding release of attachments.
When creating the exhibition Jessie discovered material, emotional and historical attachments had holds on her and that by releasing these attachments life flowed.
"Flames transform energy," she said. "The energy is not lost, just changed."
Jessie said the flames also were inspired by many local artists including Joan Price, Richard McMahon, Russel Lillford, Rebecca Vandyk Hamilton and Phil Henshaw.
"Transformation" by Jessie McLennan will be on display at the Red Tree Gallery in Jindivick until Wednesday June 26.
