Let's go girls - to the West Gippsland Arts Centre on Saturday May 3 when "Man! I Feel Like A Woman" comes to Warragul.
A tribute to the talents of Shania Twain, Linda Ronstadt, Tammy Wynette and Olivia Newton-John, "Man! I Feel Like A Woman" is a jam-packed performance, filled to the brim with country music hit after hit by some of the best in the biz.
In the quest for a "Country Queen", star of the show Amber Joy Poulton and her band "The Governing Bodies" will pick apart the fabric of the life and careers of four country greats.
"What a feeling performing the hits of these legends!" Amber Joy said.
"There's a lot of enjoyment but there's also an immense amount of admiration for how these women gracefully, but determinedly found their spot on the main stage."
From the same creators of the successful touring production "Coal Miner's Daughter", the kicking tribute show to Shania, Linda, Tammy and Olivia was a sold-out smash hit at it's premiere at the 2024 Tamworth Country Music Festival at the Capitol Theatre and again in 2025, and is now touring across New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
"It's the perfect time to celebrate and shine a light on these powerhouse women in music," Amber Joy said.
"They all come from their own niche market, some are from the country scene but there's also Linda Ronstadt with her rock background and Oliva with her sweet ballads and movie star career. With Shania and Tammy battling it out for the country crown, one being very traditional and classic and Shania being more of the pop country, it's a fight to the finish to see who will come out on top. It's all up to the audience as to who gets to take home the crown."
The spotlight will be beamed on the biggest hits of these powerhouse women whose careers have led them to this night, as deserved contenders for the coveted Crown.
Audiences will have the chance to sing along to all their favourites including "Just One Look", "Silver Threads and Golden Needles", "If You're Not In It For Love", "Stand By Your Man", "Banks Of The Ohio", "D-I-V-O-R-C-E", "Let Me Be There", and of course "Man, I Feel Like A Woman!".
Under the watchful eye of "The Governing Bodies", together we will crown a Queen, even if she only reigns for a day.
"Man! I Feel Like A Woman" will perform at the West Gippsland Arts Centre on Saturday May 3.
The show will commence at 7:30pm and will run for around two hours and 30 minutes, including intermission.
