Those with a passion for travel will be delighted by “Australia All Over”, an exhibition by Liz Bowley at The Station Gallery, Yarragon.
A landscape artist, and Fumina South local, Bowley spends her time travelling far and wide, caravanning and hiking around Australia.
It is during these travels that she often comes across breathtaking landscapes.
Whether it be the great expanses of the Kimberley or the Flinders Ranges, Bowley can translate what she sees into inspiration for oil paintings.
“Australia All Over” features 31 works by Bowley, each of which depicts places in Australia.
Bowley works primarily from images she captures during her travels and hopes her depictions of Australia will inspire people to see their environment with a new appreciation of its rugged beauty.
Lighting is an important element in many of Bowley’s works and acts to enhance many landscapes presented.
Bowley said she prefers oil paints due to the mediums blending characteristics and the lack of colour change once dried.
Previously, Bowley presented “Eucalyptus Euphoria” at The Station Gallery, which captured the beauty of the eucalyptus tree.
“Australia All Over” will remain open at The Station Gallery, Yarragon until Sunday, April 2.
The Station Gallery is open from Wednesday to Sunday 10.30am to 4pm.
