Rich history told in Kurnai mural

Local artists, Kurnai elders and The Mast team in Warragul have united to bring the stories of Gippsland's Kurnai people to life in a mural.
The large mural depicts a map of Gippsland and the boundaries of the region's five Kurnai clans with words, photos and stories about their history and culture.
Kurnai artist Julie Dow was a big part of the project and worked with other community members and artist Craig Fison to bring the group's vision to life.


The mural winds up the staircase of the heritage-listed building at 1/
