Wesley of Warragul will welcome back Melbourne Chamber Orchestra on Friday, May 26 at 7pm for "Transformations", featuring the works of Tchaikovsky and Mozart.
During the West Gippsland Arts Centre renovation, the West of Warragul hosted MCO a few times and they fell in love with the acoustics, so they are coming back.
The team at Wesley is pleased to be able to share their annual visits with WGAC - who will be hosting their full ensemble - while MCO's smaller ensemble concerts are to be performed at Wesley.
MCO's new artistic director, prominent violinist Sophie Rowell will bring a string quintet and piano soloist to play a program of works by Tchaikovsky and Mozart.
For this performance, MCO is playing a Tchaikovsky work originally for piano solo with a string quartet, and a Mozart piano concerto with the quartet and piano. They are joined by one of Australia's most extraordinary pianists Aura Go for these concerts.
