Local performers at Hub

The Oak St Hub in Drouin will be transformed into an intimate music venue on Friday night for the "Last Friday Music Club".
Organised by 3BBR West Gippsland Community Radio and Off The Leash Theatre, the event will provide a quality show where the music isn't competing with the noise from the bar.
3BBR community radio president Paul Strickland said the "Last Friday Music Club" provided an opportunity for audiences to see some of Gippsland's "top class performers."
"There are so many who are as good as any in the country or even internationally but the chances to hear them in a good atmosphere are very limited," he said.
Utilising the hub as the performance venue allowed for costs to be kept low and ensure majority of the ticket prices went to the performers.
Friday's performance will feature two of the best local singer-songwriters, Libby Willems and Tegan Blackstock.
Libby recently released her first album "Goodside", launching it to a packed audience at the Algie Hall in Neerim South.
Tegan released her first album "Every River" in 2022 and her first single "Forever Kinda Love" in 2023. She has performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and recently at the Lardner Park Rodeo.
The "Last Friday Music Club" event will take place at the Oak St Hub in Drouin this Friday April 25.
Doors open at 6pm and music will commence at 7pm.
Supper will be provided by the French Pear Cafe.
