Grammy nominated artist set to perform in Warragul

The Wesley of Warragul will host Grammy award nominated counter tenor Reginald Mobley and distinguished Australian artist Paul Grabowsky for a special acoustic side concert on Thursday April 17.
The heritage venue is one of only three locations selected to hold the special side concerts during Mobley's tour across Australia playing with major orchestras.
Reginald Mobley is lauded by critics and audiences on both sides of the Atlantic as one of the finest singers of baroque, classical and modern repertoire and Wesley's renowned acoustics will be well suited for his distinctive counter tenor voice. A countertenor is a male singer whose vocal range extends into the alto or soprano range.
Accompanying Mobley on piano is Paul Grabowsky AO, one of Australia's most distinguished artists. Grabowsky is an ARIA, Helpmann and APRA Award-winning pianist, composer, arranger and conductor.
In a true meeting of musical minds, Mobley and Grabowsky will unite to present Mobley's latest and highly celebrated album "Because".
"Because" celebrates spiritual and gospel traditions, alongside music of black composers such as Florence Price and Harry Burleigh.
Paul Grabowsky has served as director of some of Australia's most prominent arts festivals, the composer of nearly thirty feature film scores, and several works of music theatre, the founder and leader for 19 years of the Australian Art Orchestra, an executive at the ABC, and currently heads up Monash University Performing Arts Centres.
Together, Mobley and Grabowsky offer an extraordinary opportunity for regional audiences to enjoy an experience usually only available in a major city.
The concert will begin at 7:30pm on Thursday April 17.
