Next Gen Theatrical has stepped onto the local theatre scene in a big way with its first musical "Be More Chill".
With an impressive, yet minimal set, upbeat tunes and a stellar cast of youthful performers Next Gen has definitely made its mark.
"Be More Chill" follows high-school outcast "Jeremy", played by Max Mead, as he attempts to become cool by consuming a wonder drug from Japan.
Jeremy's life quickly goes downhill when the drug implants a supercomputer - called a SQUIP - into his brain and it begins to control his life, ruining his relationships and attempting to take over Middleborough High School.
