February at BBAA

Baw Baw Arts Alliance member and Warragul Camera Club president Russell Monson was recently awarded "TDFS best work of art" in the BBAA exhibition "Wonder of Mt Worth" at the Station Gallery in Yarragon.
The awards were judged by Trafalgar and District Financial Services (TDFS) board member David Balfour and Community Bank Trafalgar and District community engagement advisor Moriah Taylor.
Moriah and David were excited at the range and standard of the artwork and found making a choice tough but finally selected Russell's photo, "Ferny Path" as the winner.
The TDFS and the Community Bank Trafalgar and District have long been supporters of the work of the Baw Baw Arts Alliance.
The bank took on the lease of the Station Gallery in Yarragon which enabled the Arts Alliance to have its first permanent base. The TDFS enabled the necessary repair work on the station to be completed to the point where a gallery and workspace was possible.
The Arts Alliance has a constantly changing range of exhibitions at the Station Gallery in Yarragon where artists new to exhibiting are encouraged to show their work.
This month until March 2, local artist and recent Victorian College of the Arts graduate Georgia Robinson will showcase her vibrant acrylic works in the main gallery.
Titled "Prominence; seasonal colours in diverse landscapes", her abstracted landscapes and plants have a strong emphasis on the environment of West Gippsland.
Alex Rojas exhibition "Fluro Artifice" will be displayed "On the Wall" at the Station Gallery until March 2.
A collection of oil and acrylic paintings, the exhibition demonstrates Alex's love of colour.
