Off the Leash Theatre will complete The Laramie Project cycle next month, with a second heartbreaking, yet hopeful, production.
"The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later", by Moisés Kaufman, Leigh Fondakowski, Stephen Belber, Greg Pierotti, and Andy Paris (members of the Tectonic Theatre Project), is the second in a two-play cycle exploring Laramie, Wyoming after the brutal bashing and murder of gay college student Matthew Shepard in 1998.
The murder of Matthew Shepard made headlines across the world and brought attention to hate crime legislation. In 2009, the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr Hate Crimes prevention act was signed into United States Federal Law.
