BBAA Poetry Bauhaus

Baw Baw Arts Alliance recently held its inaugural "Poetry Bauhaus" at the VRI Hall in Warragul, providing an opportunity for local poets to share the magic of their words with an audience.

BBAA has always had strong ties with visual art, but in recent years formed close connections with writers.
Created and developed by BBAA artist and poet Yvette Stubbs, the "Poetry Bauhaus" concept was designed to give local writers a more public voice.
The first "Poetry Bauhaus" event was held on Sunday October 6 at the VRI Hall with poet and BBAA writers' group coordinator Rodney Williams as the guest reader.
A second event will be held at 2pm on Sunday November 3 at the VRI Hall. Published historian and poet Jillian Durance will be the guest artist.
BBAA hope to make the "Poetry Bauhaus" a regular part of its performance calendar to ensure poets have the time and space to share their writing with others.
Entry to the next "Poetry Bauhaus" is by donation, no bookings are required.
People of all experience levels are welcome to come to the event and share their original poems, music and songs.
