The Yarragon Studio Festival is once again set to take audiences on a journey of discovery and entertainment on Sunday, March 2.
Held across three locations, this edition of the festival will focus on a selection of talented performing artists, well known for their versatility and adventurous instinct for collaboration, and a selection of local food and wine.
Organiser and saxophonist Niels Bijl said the event would feature the "undisputed top of Australian music food and wine."
"Come to the festival to be amazed, to go on a journey of discovery and entertainment," he said.
"All you need to do is buy a ticket and be in Yarragon around 3pm. You will be placed in one of three groups and coaches will drive you around the area to visit the three locations."
Cellist Gemma Kneale, harpsichord and piano specialist Joy Lee and new percussion duo, Alexander Meagher and Aditya Bhat will perform across the venues before coming together with Niels for a collaborative closing concert.
"We have a duo of percussionists, using everyday items to bring a musical feast," Niels said.
"Joy Lee on harsichord will bring her favourite early music to life, as well as introduce newer works written for harpsichord. Cellist Gemma Kneale has quickly become Australia's favourite cellist at music festivals, with a mindful and calming selection of works for cello and electronics."
Food for the event will be provided by Warragul restaurant Messmates, and Gippsland winemaker Xavier Goodridge will provide a range of his internationally acclaimed Pa Pa and Estate Range wines.
Niels said the Yarragon Studio Festival was a fantastic opportunity for people to connect and embrace the qualities of the region.
"Seeing people starting conversations between sessions, and over dinner (is a highlight)," Niels said. "We've seen people connect at such a level that you realise some arrived alone, and leave with unexpected new friends."
There are limited tickets left for the Yarragon Studio Festival so audiences should act fast to secure their place.
