Twenty three candidates will have the next 32 days to convince Baw Baw Shire residents why they should be one of the nine councillors elected to the next council group.
While a number of candidates are focussed on the traditional local government service areas of roads, rates and rubbish, others are advocating for change, calling for leadership that addresses gender equality, diversity and inclusion.
Three councillors will be elected in each of the three wards - Central, East and West - from a candidate group representing the diversity of our community.
