Longwarry bowls into WGBD division one finals

Trafalgar bowler John Cornish bowls against Longwarry in division one action on Saturday.  Trafalgar won 103/68 but fell just short of knocking Longwarry out of fourth place and gain a finals berth.

Longwarry has scored a berth in the division one finals after finishing fourth on the ladder despite a heavy loss to Trafalgar on Saturday. The home side handled the conditions better than Longwarry to score a 35-shot win. Division one:

Drouin win thriller

Drouin are midweek division one premiers after a thrilling encounter against Traralgon last Tuesday. The grand final was played at Trafalgar. Traralgon was out to an early lead and kept Drouin at a safe margin until about the 14th end.

Drouin bowl in heat

Drouin third Shirley Woodville bowls against Longwarry in the last round of WGBD midweek pennant before the Christmas break. 

It was a very hot, sticky Tuesday for all the bowlers with Drouin’s results proving it. Drouin had one convincing win and two losses for the last round before the Christmas break. Division one: Drouin 16/77 defeated Yallourn 0/46. M.

Longwarry bowl big win

Longwarry bowler Grant Pask helped his team to achieve “king rink” with a 43-shot win over Warragul in division three.

Longwarry bowlers travelled to Warragul to open the WGBD pennant season on Saturday. Division three had a comfortable 85-shot win while division six went down in a five-shot narrow loss. Division three: Longwarry 6/143 defeated Warragul (3) 2/58. Elio Meggetto,

Sheers snatches champ title
