Ellinbank win A grade

Claiming back-to-back A grade premierships are Ellinbank netballers (from left) Shanara Notman, Mia McGarrity, Taylah Bott, Jasmine Ferguson (front), Rhiannon Hayes, Breanna Pratt and Danielle Smith.  Ellinbank had a successful day, claiming all three senior netball premierships for the second consecutive year.

The national anthem and a big crowd created an enthralling scene for the long awaited A grade grand final match between Ellinbank and Poowong. Poowong put in a great effort to come from fifth position to reach the grand final.

End of an era

Among the St Luke’s Co-operating Church congregation to see out the final service at the church were Chris Waddell, Margaret Hardie, Rev. Chris Duxbury, Elizabeth Loane, Graham Hardie, Val Pratt, Frances Telford, Elizabeth Medling, Col Peterson, Barbara Wallace and Barrie Gilbert.

It was the end of an era with the final service held at St Luke’s Co-operating Church, Ellinbank last month. A church had been operating on the corner of Warragul-Korumburra and Hazeldean Rds for more than 100 years, however dwindling
