Willow Grove Duck Inn and the Willow Grove community went all out recently to help raise money for vital medical equipment to help improve the wellbeing of super courageous, six-year-old Saige Butterworth.

Saige, an inspirational little girl from Warragul is battling complex and ongoing health issues due to complications from a condition called gastroschisis and premature birth.

The life-saving equipment she needs will help keep her safe and enable her to spend more time at home with her family, more time at school with her friends and less time in hospital.

Willow Grove Duck Inn hosted a ‘Support Superhero Saige’ fundraiser night with a silent auction and monster meat raffle that raised a total of $4561. The silent auction featuring items donated by individuals and a range of local businesses, raised $2962. A donation tin collected $73 and a raffle raised $1526.

Duck Inn manager Adam Hart saw a Go Fund Me campaign for Saige advertised on the Willow Grove, Hill End notice board.

“Saige’s grandparents Pam and Rusty Dawson live in Willow Grove, so we saw an opportunity to help out in the community.”
