Throughout round 11 of the Warragul and District Junior Football League it was the promise of a league under 12 interleague victory that sought to distract the players from seasonal competition.

However, nothing could take away the determination of the sides who took to the field on the weekend and pushed themselves to their limits in hopes of a finals spot.

Neerim District v Yarragon

Under 10

The first quarter was a tight tussle with neither Neerim District or Yarragon scoring.

The Cats kicked goals in the second and third quarters.

Yarragon kicked a goal in the last quarter to make the game a close contest, but couldn’t steal the win.

Under 12

Under lights at the home of the Cats in front of a huge crowd, both teams put on a great display.

Yarragon scored early, then Neerim District came out attacking strongly.

In a very closely contested game for all four quarters, Yarragon took off in the last few minutes.

Yarragon in the end were the better team on the night, but the Cats didn't give up.
