St Paul’s year 12 student Ellen Geals had her 94cm-long hair cut and shaved for the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave.

Ellen watched senior students shave their hair when she was in year 7. At the time, she thought she wouldn’t be brave enough to participate as she had always had long hair.

She changed her mind the following year and planned to participate once she reached year 12.

Ellen has raised $1500 so far and aims to raise $2000. She will also donate her hair to charity for wig making.

Year 11 student Michael McLatchie also had his hair shaved.
